Talk about blowing an opportunity. Heading into camp, Koren Robinson was penciled in as the No. 1 receiver for the Minnesota Vikings after an impressive end to the season last year. Now, just ten days after being charged with drunken driving and fleeing from the police, he'll have to find a new roster. The Vikings released Robinson on Saturday after signing a three-year, $12.7 million extension in March.
After having so many team problems under former head coach Mike Tice, the Vikings were hoping to move away from these types of issues.
Now, Travis Taylor will likely become the No. 1 receiver for the Vikings, while second-year receiver Troy Williamson could get a shot as the second man. Besides those two, the Vikings have a few average veterans, including Marcus Robinson and Billy McMullen.
