In need of a veteran receiver after the loss of Koren Robinson, the Minnesota Vikings signed wide receiver Todd Pinkston to a deal on Saturday. Pinkston was cut by the Philadelphia Eagles earlier in the week.
Pinkston has been with the Eagles for the past six seasons. He has a connection with current Vikings head coach Brad Childress, who was his offensive coordinator with the Eagles for four years. Pinkston's best season came in 2002, when he caught 60 passes for 798 yards and seven touchdowns. Last year, he missed the entire season after tearing his right Achilles' tendon in the preseason.
Pinkston wasn't need as much after the Eagles acquired WR Donte' Stallworth from the New Orleans Saints.
