Minnesota Vikings safety Willie Offord was charged with drunken driving on Tuesday after police caught him speeding. He was charged with a misdemeanor of the fourth-degree for drunken driving, said Lt. Mark Peterson of the State Patrol. Offord's blood-alcohol level was below 0.20 percent, but above the limit of 0.08 percent.
"Mr. Offord was extremely cooperative and respectful during the entire incident," said Peterson.
Offord will appear in court on April 26th. Offord signed a two-year contract extension last month and is a leader on special teams. Although the Vikings have a new coaching staff this year, you hate to see more trouble involving the law related to the Vikings organization.
