The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed wide receiver and kick returner Quincy Morgan on the injured reserve after he suffered a fractured right fibula against the Cincinnati Bengals this past Sunday. Morgan joined the Steelers this year after spending the beginning of his career with the Cleveland Browns, and then the Dallas Cowboys for half of a season. Morgan will have surgery soon.
The Steelers signed wide receiver Lee Mays to replace Morgan. Mays has been with the Steelers the past three years, but was released earlier this season. He will see limited action if he plays.
The Steelers will miss Morgan's spark in the kick return game, but it should not affect them too much. Starting cornerback Ike Taylor, who took over against the Bengals when Morgan got injured, may be the primary returned against the Indianapolis Colts this week.
Morgan was the fourth receiver on the depth chart, so receiver Sean Morey or Lee Mays will fill in for him.
