Cleveland, Oh. (PFCritics) -- Santonio Holmes suddenly can't seem to stay out of trouble. For the second time since being drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in April, Holmes was arrested, this time with a domestic violence charge. The last time he was arrested, it was due to disorderly conduct during Memorial Day weekend.
Holmes was arrested just after midnight on Monday at an apartment. He was then taken to Franklin County Jail, and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday morning. Details of who filed the complaint were not yet made available.
After his first incident, Steelers head coach Bill Cowher criticized Holmes, but was going to give Holmes a pass.
"Whatever he did wrong, I don't think he handled it properly," Cowher said at the time. "I think he'll learn from it and understand the scrutiny he's under. We have not talked face to face about it. I don't have any long-term concerns."
It'll be very interesting to see what Cowher will say this time, after Holmes second offense. This certainly is not the way Holmes wants to start his NFL career, and the Steelers don't want any more bad press after Ben Roethlisberger's motorcycle incident.
