The top two wide receivers in this years NFL draft are now signed with their teams. Larry Fitzgerald signed with the Arizona Cardinals and Roy Williams signed on with the Detroit Lions. Both receivers were in the top seven picks of the draft.
Fizgerald, the third pick overall in the draft, is a college standout from Pittsburgh. He signed a six year contract worth about $60 million. Last years second round choice for the Cardinals was another wide receiver, Anquan Boldin. At the end of the NFL season, Boldin was the rookie of the year and an NFC Pro Bowler.
The combination of the two wide outs could be dominant.
For the Lions, they have a similar situation. Charles Rogers, last years first round choice for the Lions, was very good. He suffered injuries though that ended his season short. With Roy Williams, the seventh overall pick, and Rogers, the duo could be compared to Fizgerald and Boldin.
