Hello everybody! It is week ten, and there are a ton of huge division games this week. Instead of starting with games of the week this week, I will try giving the games more specific titles...

Crucial Division Games

Minnesota vs. Green Bay
Green Bay is coming off a bye week and has won their last three games to improve to .500. The Vikings started 5-1, but have now lost two straight to fall to 5-3. These two teams will meet again in week 17, making this game huge down the road. Minnesota is on pace to collapse like they did last year, with Green Bay coming in and taking the division. If the Vikings had Moss back, maybe things would be different.

Houston vs. Indianapolis
The Texans fell flat against the Broncos last week, but they have to worry about in my mind the best offense in the NFL this week. Manning should have no qualms of lighting the Texans up, but the Colts defense needs to start making plays so the offense can actually "relax" sometimes.

Seattle vs. St. Louis
If the Rams can come away with this game, they would have a strong case for winning the division, owning the division tiebreaker against the Seahawks. However, I am taking Seattle to win. The Seahawks controlled the game in their first match-up, but had a rare collapse. I could see this game get into either a shootout, or involve no scoring at all.

"Get Me Back Into the Race" Division Games

Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland
It is very unlikely that anyone in the AFC North can catch the Steelers, but the Browns are fighting for a wildcard. The Steelers have played well, but the Browns have a few things going for them in this game. The Browns have played excellent at home, Duce Staley and Verron Haynes are likely out, and all streaks come to an end some time.

Tampa Bay vs. Atlanta
The Falcons seem to have a comfortable three game lead right now, but Tampa Bay is on a roll right now. Their defense is very good, and their offense has potential now as we saw against the Chiefs last week. If Vick has one of his off days, this could actually get ugly for the Falcons.

Buffalo vs. New England
Buffalo has won three straight games. Looking back at the games they've played, they lost two heartbreakers, and could easily be 5-3 right now. New England is just too good to allow an upset though, as they proved against the Rams last week. Buffalo will play them tough, but Bledsoe's mistake will cost them again.

Philadelphia vs. Dallas
The Eagles were destroyed last week by Pittsburgh, but I would say that the Cowboys were destroyed even more by the Bengals. No one should ever be destroyed by the Bengals. The Eagles should be able to embarass the Cowboys team in prime time.

Unusual Situation - Teams who find themselves in playoff races still, but weren't expected to be...

Detroit vs. Jacksonville
I really don't know if Byron Leftwich being out will affect the performance of the team. If he was playing right now, I'd pick the Jags. I have to get a look at their new QB before I can pick them again. The Lions are still alive, but their consistency level isn't too high.

Chicago vs. Tennessee
The Titans should be a little more healthy off the bye week. The Bears are 2-0 under Krenzel, but it's more of the defense getting the job done. McNair has had a poor season, but could have a nice game today to keep their season alive.

Injury in New York

Baltimore vs. New York Jets
Can the Jets do it without Chad Pennington? What I remember is that last year, the team didn't fare well without Pennington. Carter has NFL experiance, but he goes up against a very tough defense this week. The Jets play teams tough though, so I'll say that the Jets defense forces a key turnover.

New York Giants vs. Arizona
The Cardinals scored at the right time last week against the Dolphins. The Giants are without both of their starting defensive ends for the rest of the year, and Kurt Warner's play has declined lately. Arizona's defense has played well this season, so the Cardinals have a chance to upset the Giants.

Blowout of the Week

Kansas City vs. New Orleans
The Chiefs will score points no matter what, but New Orleans defense is really bad. The whole team is in a disarray right now, so it doesn't matter that the Chiefs defense isn't good either. Jim Haslett will be saying goodbye soon.

Fighting for Respect

Cincinnati vs. Washington
The Redskins could get closer to .500 with a win here and do have a decent shot at the playoffs, but I don't think they can turn their season around enough to make it down the road. The Bengals had a strong win last week, but have really struggled on the road.

Carolina vs. San Francisco
I'm sure Panther fans never expected this time of season. Injuries do that. San Franciso fans probably imagined this type of season though after losing Garcia, Owens, and many more players in the off-season. The 49'ers offense has good potential, and have home advantage in this game.

Last Week's Record: 5-9
Season Record: 73-57
Current Survivor Winning Streak: 2 games.
Survivor History:7 games(Tennessee over Miami in week one, New England over Arizona in week two, Seattle over San Francisco in week three, New England over Buffalo in week four, Indianapolis over Oakland in week five, Philadelphia over Carolina in week six, Denver over Cincinnati in week seven(lost), Seattle over Carolina in week eight, Seattle over San Francisco in week nine.)

I am upset that I went 5-9 last week, but I can re-group this week. I do have a two game survivor winning streak going, so that means I am 8-1 this season in survivor games, which is pretty good in my opinion. This week I will take the New England Patriots to beat the Buffalo Bills.

That's it for this weeks picks. Here's hoping to a strong NFL week...
