With the thirty-first pick of the 2007 NFL Draft, the Chicago Bears selected tight end Greg Olsen from Miami.
The Bears were pleased to see a playmaking tight end fall to the 31st spot. Since they did not trade away linebacker Lance Briggs, that negated the need to draft a linebacker with this pick.
Olsen follows a string of popular tight ends in recent years, and is projected to have the biggest impact for tight ends in the 2007-2008 season.
