With the twenty-first pick in the 2007 NFL Draft, the Jacksonville Jaguars selected safety Reggie Nelson from Florida.
This has to be considered a very good pick for the Jaguars, considering I originally had Nelson going to the Carolina Panthers earlier in the draft. Since the Panthers traded down, the Jaguars were also able to trade down and still get the safety they wanted to replace Deon Grant.
Nelson has always had solid instincts, defending well against the run and the pass. He's also been noted for his hard hits against offensive players.
